I have win XP home and downloaded local port scanner to check things out this morning and didnt like what I seen.....I did the trogan scan and found 3 ports open.....
What do you do in a situation like this? Help! |

Win XP has a build in firewall. Turn it on. Or get either a hardware firewall (E.g. Broadband router) or a software firewall like Zone Alarm or Norton Firewall.
The only other way to protect your machine is to disconnect it from any kind of a network. Christoph PS: I personally use a hardware firewall and are very satisfied.

Built in firewall in XP is on....... and this still can happen? Someone
shed some light on this for me as I dont like running LPS and finding a port open and "Mavericks Matrix" under additional information.......
