Odd FTP Problem...
OK, check this out. I am helping someone with an FTP server problem. No matter what FTP server, no matter if their is a firewall / router or not. Anyone on the outside cannot get a directory listing, you can get connected, but no dir.
We first thought it was the ISP blocking 21. So we moved it above to about 3000 Now here is the error log. [20:31] (000008) 11/27/2002 11:33:46 PM - (not logged in) (12.80.21.124) > connected to ip : 192.168.1.3 [20:31] (000008) 11/27/2002 11:33:46 PM - (not logged in) (12.80.21.124) > sending welcome message. Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

looks like something to do with passive- try turning it off on your client before connecting to the server and see what happens.

Have you specified what folders are visible in the FTP?
Have you enabled READ on those folders? Have you created a specific account in the FTP prog with the right permissions at all? What FTP prog is it? |
