Ok I set up Apache, PHP and mySQL on my computer but I think I don't have PHP configured correctly for cookies.
Can anyone help me with this. What would I have to change in order to allow cookies? Should the default configuracion do the job?

I don't think you need to configure anything for the cookie to work. After you had installed PHP, you should get the setcookie() function to work without configuring anything.
