where to get java?
I have alot of things not showing up on the internet that should show up and was wondering where i can get java. the reason i believe i need this is because i went to dslreports.com and tried to do a speed test on there but it said my java applet not installed. where can i get this? its not available in windows update. thanks.

java.sun.com
Download and install the JRE, then it should handle java for IE.

another problem here too. not sure if it related to java or not but everytime i open msn.com and some other sites as well i get a lot of red X's where there should be a pic. i Have java enabled and its working because the page i needed it for works now. any ideas why i get this all the time? thanks.

If you are using IE 5.0 +. goto tools, internet options, click on the advanced tab. The restore defaults. If you have IE older then 5.0 Time to upgrade at least to 5.5. Some ppl don't like 6.
