How can one completely remove Kazaa from a system?
I mean not leaving any traces of it. A friend of mine uninstall it but the kazaa folder is still in her HD and it seems it's still growing. TIA for the input.

She already downloaded an ran AdAware.
![]() Well, probably she didn't remove all of the items and she didn't download the RefUpdate. I'll recommend her to do so. Let's see what happens. Thanks, byte. |

When i was testing the adaware. I used it on a system that I knew was infected. It also had Kazza installed, I let adaware wipe everything. Then I run the update and found more. Wiped all that out. After Kazza was still installed but did not work. I had to reinstall to make it work again. I know you are wanting to totally remove the program. I know this won't do the uninstall and totally wipe but I will help get some of the hidden spyware/adware out.

Can she use RegClean to finish the removal of this annoying program? I've heard that proggie is pretty good.
If so, where do I get RegClean? |

On regcleaner remove any instances from the programs screen (the one it starts in, the start-up screen, and then run the registry clean-up in the tools section. Also download and run Spybot Search and Destroy as it is a little better than Ad Aware for removing the include programs, and when you run it note where any folders may be located so that you can just go and delete them from the hard drive.

Nope. Get kazaalite and forget the others.
The only other possible P2P programs worth using are WinMX, Directconnect (DC++), and maybe blurbster (whatever it's called). |

Even if Bearshare isn't pay, it's now full of ads and spyware.
