Help! Popups during gaming!!!

After getting my router, I've been experiencing a problem. I get popups when not surfing the net. I am using cable modem with a router. I didn't have this problem before, why now? I get some pretty bad popups too, if you know what I mean (pornographic)... This even happens when I play online games. How can I stop this? I've tried clearing out my cookies and temperary internet files, but it doesn't work. Please help! Thanks!!!

also when you're going to be playing, restart your computer. if you still get pop ups it's got to be one of these three things

Go to www.lurkhere.com into the download section and DL/Install?Run Spybot Search and Destory. It is just about the best program I have seen for automaticall removing this type of stuff. Then after you have ran it, empty the Temporary Internet File and the Internet History. Finally in the Internet Explore Properties under the Programs Tab, click on the Reset Web Settings button.
Also you might want to go to the link below and get a free program called Start Page Guard, which prevents startpage Hijackers.
