I have four workstations on a 20-station network that have Internet page loading issues as described below:
Most sites load fine, but a hand full of site routinely visited will not load completely, nav bars and buttons will X out, although the graphics are not visible the buttons still work. Sometimes when the page is refreshed more buttons will show up. Things I have tried, from a testing stand point I have bypassed the fire wall, set the security setting on each PC to hack me, have checked and unchecked all SSL boxes in just about every combination. Have replaced all NIC cards. |

More info: All four PC’s having this problem are different. Two are Dell’s, one OS 98SE…One OS ME……The other two units are E-machines one being Monster 800 the other being ETower 700 both have ME as the OS. One other thing just noticed, when I refresh the page, some of the graphics that were X out now show, some of the graphics shown before the refresh now X out….Also, some of the graphics show up as I mouse over them…..

This sounds like either a security issue, or a LAN problem. Not necessarily hardware.
Have you checked all permissions for each client on the LAN? Have you reset all internet security on each client to defaults? |

Thanks for the reply Reboot. I have checked permissions for each workstation on the LAN. I have reset the Internet security settings on each unit to the lowest possible…. I tried something else today thinking that I might have a few bad ports on my hub in which I transferred the four stations to a different hub with no change in performance.

I'm stumped. Other than replacing the NIC's and cabling...anyone else have any ideas?
