UK 5.8GHz transimitting laws (for wireless LAN)

hi everyone,

(not sure if this is the best place for this thread)

i was wondering if anyone can inform me about UK regulations regarding the 5.8GHz spectrum, i want to use this spectrum to transmit signals for use on a large wireless LAN (WAN)

I have been told that it is banned in the UK but want to know if this is true, does anyone know, or some decent links to some sites about this would be great
(offical government sites would be good too)

Hope someone cant set me straight on this

(Also - if anyone knows anything about point-to-multipoint transmitting in the UK post here and we can maybee chat, i have a few questions)

Thanks,
James
