Shouldn't.
What you're probably seeing is a slowdown because ZA is blocking like it's supposed to. BTW, if you're on dial-up you don't really need it anyhow. |

The heck you don't need it on dialup - the script kiddies are attacking anything they can find. You wouldn't believe how much it catches.

If you use....
Internet Explorer and Dial-up Networking, even with the security updates, it's possible to nuke you with some ICMP fragments, or any number of bombs, floods, etc. Not to mention all the information they can get about you and your computer by just asking your computer politely. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF THINKING YOU DONT NEED A FIREWALL FOR A DIAL-UP CONNECTION! You do!

And if you want a good program...
For catching EVERYTHING that attempts or connects to your computer, try Network Associates Network Sniffer Pro. Much better than anything out there for detecting ALL connections! A really neat program, best I've found for making sure I dont have a trojan too. Would show up like a sore thumb.

I personally wouldn't use a NetA$$ product if they gave it to me - but that's my opinion.
