Does she receive your replies, regardless of the observed address?

The mail servers will only recognize the proper user info. Perhaps the thing would be to to educate? Most often a typo, a little help is often appreciated.

Cool

Your mom needs to go to her mail settings and change her 'reply-to' address. She has either typed it in wrong, or it's an old address that doesn't work any longer (i.e. a work email). It's different in different mail clients, but it's usually somewhere in the mail options or settings.
