I don't use Eudora but I know my ISP won't let me use it.

pop should be your incoming server.

smtp should be your outgoing server.

You should contact Bell about your Login Name. But usually it is either just your name or it will be your emaill address.

They should have the info on their website and whether or not you can use Eudora.

Their site gives instructions on how to set eudora up, but it's an old version.like 3X or 4X or something...nothing remotely similar to the current versions. (I can post their instruction if anyone is curious)

the info for the incoming and out going are as above, but I wondered if there was something I'm doing wrong or missing, because it still gives me problems ???

Like a part of their site says :

In the POP Account box type your username followed by the @ symbol and the incoming mail server.

Do they mean username = userid ????

Nothing they have on their site is clear lol, it's worst talking to a tech supp....they just read to me whats on the site.

I'm sure it's` something simple.

if you are in Toronto - your incoming mail server (POPserver) is probably pop6.sympatico.ca (check the last page of your information booklet that came with your HSE package for details on your exact POP server). Which means your POP login name is
your_username@pop_server. So if you are using an account that is richard@sympatico.ca then your email login name will be richard@pop6.sympatico.ca

Sympatico decides to treat you like an invaluable customer by assinging you a number
You have your PIN number, your userid (for connection) a b1v string and then a password. Further, you are free to create your own email account IDs and then supply passwords for them too.
