I assume this is a daft question but.....
I updated some components for win2K, after that a new tool bar appeared when i launch internet explorer, at the bottom of the screen and as part of the Ie program. It is called "SEARCH NOW" and i cannot get rid of the bloody thing. It has drop down menu's and a search box and is automatically launched by Ie. It appears to be an optional extra though I cannot find the option to get rid of it. Right clicking etc reveals no options. It does not appear as a seperate program which can be removed... please help How do I get rid of it...? |

The toolbar you are talking about is not a part of IE, it is scumware and you can get rid of it easily by going to www.lurkhere.com and in the download section get and install "Spybot - Search and Destroy." It is a free program that will find it and uninstall it for you.

Thank you very much
I use AdAware - (lavasoft) and that did not pick it up. I will try the suggested site. |
