Registering Domain Names in UK?

I would like to hear your suggestions and opinions of any Domain Registeration and Web Hosting services within the UK.

I know how to register Domains but I would to get my domain name cheaply.
The thing is I only have Switch as my Debit card, I do not have Mastercard, Visa or any of the sort. Switch is not accepted outside the UK (as far I know).

This is why I'm going to register with companies within the UK.

Are there any good Domain Registeration and Web Hosting companies who accept Switch as a method of payment?

I was going to go with Easyspace but I read of some alarming posts about them. The posts were from a newsgroup, not in the forums here. So I have decided to consider other web hosting companies.

Can you please help me out?
