Does anyone know of a good company that submitts your web site to different search engines and other promotion to bring traffic to your site.

No! You can spend a lot of money with spurious companies that claim to boost your search engine ratings with little or no results. The key things are not having many HTML errors for the DOCTYPE that is used, using alt tags and having people link to your site off of their site. Here is a do-it yourself guide to optimization.

Try this too.
 Also, no way you should you have to pay money. There are enough popular search engines that still do it for free.
