The rumor going around my small town is that comcast is going to raise our rate from $44.00 per month to $57.00 per month.
I am hoping this is just a rumor and there is no truth to it.I get great service with att now and cant complain about the fee's,but 57 bucks is getting a little high. My cable bill now is currently $105.00 per month and that dont count the 40 bucks for att wireless for the cell phone. With all the cash att seems to take in,it make ya wonder why they would sell out.Oh well, big business I guess

Will my e-mail address change?
Your e-mail address will not change at this time. Comcast will be contacting you sometime after February 2003 to provide you with the opportunity to obtain up to seven comcast net e-mail accounts. Please look for notification via U.S. postal mail and to your attbi.com e-mail account. In addition, please visit comcast. com frequently for updated information. |

"at this time" is the key here, check out this article in the San Francisco paper
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...11/BU40360.DTL and as to fees I quote: How will this affect what I pay for service? We are continuously reviewing and evaluating the channels and programming packages we offer in order to bring you the best value and options. As we go through this process, changes may occur that affect your monthly bill. Before any changes are made, however, we will contact you at least 30 days in advance with details about new service options and their prices. notice the "changes may occur that affect your monthly bill", short answer "our bill is going up" it has to, every time they merge they have 'merging' expenses to recoup. Of course we could go back to dial up......................not |

thats where they got us.They know that 90 percent of people that have used dial-up and went to cable will NEVER go back to dial-up again. They can pretty much charge whatever they want, and people will buy it. I know in my case,I will do away with a few other things before I would give up my cable connection

The rate will $57.00 if you are NOT a cable TV subscriber. $44 if you are. So in other words, basic cable for free.
