I've been seeing some cool smileys and was wondering how these are created. I especially like the ones that are active.
Does anyone know how to do this? |

Look on the left of where you write your post (not quick reply). You will see all the smileys there. Just click them.

You require a graphics program, and an animation program for the animated ones, to make them. I use Paintshop Pro versions 6 and 7 and can turn them out fairly quickly.
You can also make them in any graphics program including MSPaint that comes with Windows, however you would need an animator to animate them. You can pick up a free .gif animator from any of the freeware sites, there are lots to choose from. Most smilies are made on a canvas only 64x64 pixels in size. Some, such as the basic round smilie are very, very simple to make. Others are much more difficult, a good understanding of how pixels work and are viewed at such a small size make the job of creating them much easier. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I'll check it out and see what I can come up with.
