MSM 5.0 does not work

Whenever I try to start it, it gives me the following error messages:

1) That one of the devices is not working.

2) That the file MSNMSGR.EXE is vinculated at the exported and missing OLEAUT32.DLL:314

How can I fix this?

That is not the only problem with the new version of MSN Messenger. Downloaded it two days ago and now it will not connect. after 3 or 4 min of trying gives a message that MSN may be overloaded with calls or down for servicing.

But when you press the little Help button, it takes you to a page that says all systems are go.

Quite by accident I found that when I am logged into MSN on my browser I can click on the MSNmessenger Icon on my desktop and the messenger will connect instantly.

I had held off upgrading to 5. because I just knew it would have bugs. But got tired of MSN bugging, (no pun intended ), me to download it.

I am sure I will find out what the problem is but it is not an urgent matter for me at the moment so it will have to wait.

I have always hated MSM, I use Trillian. Sad thing is that Trillian uses to crash somtimes in Windows 98. And my girl only has MSM. So, I have to endure M$'s buggy products.

Yesterday we were chatting and her MSM suddenly stopped being able to send messages to me, even tho she was able to see me online. I was using Trillian and thought the prob may be it. So I downloaded MSM 5.0 and was unable to run it due to the error mentioned above.
