Cant access imap web mail

Can anyone help - i cannot get access to any of my imap web mail accounts- ie hotmail..... i have set all the options on the net browser back to deafult, but still no luck..
any ideas???

You could download a mail program capable of download and reading mail from IMAP accounts. Eudora I believe does this

Hotmail is not an IMAP email account. Is it a private email account of yours? What are you using to access it?

I am just using internet explorer, the version that comes with xp......... but it won't allow access to hotmail, or external access to company and uni accounts

goes instantly to the page unavailable page - ie as if i had entered the wrong web address

Check your Internet Options - connections, LAN settings - make sure use a proxy server is not checked.

I'm not sure what page is returned if a website is locally blocked (by IE)

Are the sites perhaps in the Restricted Sites zone? Or blocked by IE's content filter?

Tools --> Internet Options

I'm having the same problems, but I'm using Opera 7...when I try to connect i just get a "could not connect to IMAP server" error...any ideas?
