hosting
i need help on how i can have a win 98 computer with ftp sofware on it and how i can do my own hosting

I know there is a program out there called smart FTP, its freeware I believe, my borther uses it, says it saves him a ton of grunt work. As for your own hosting, Im not sure, you should post questions like this in the Internet/WWW section. A moderator will probably move this post there soon. But try checking www.download.com for the smart FTP application, or try seraching google

I use BulletProof FTP. Not free, but excellent security, and fairly easy to configure.

You have to be joking, Windows 98 as a FTP server. How are you connected to the Internet? Does your ISP allow you to be a FTP server? It is generally a good way to lose your account.
