Using mics with IM proggies

Does anyone know if AIM, MSM and/or Trillian support the use of a microphone?

I know they allow you to use webcams, but neither I nor my girl have webcams, only mikes.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I know AIM supports voice chat and I assume MSM does too. No idea about Trillian.

MSN on XP supports Mics, and webcams. Kind of a Netmeeting replacement.

Yeah, I've done voice chat over AIM. MSN has it, Trillian doesn't I believe. Also, if you both have XP, I think netmeeting came with it which has mic chat and everything. Well, if XP doesn't have netmeeting, you can download it and that definitely has a voice chat which seems to be more "luxurious" than AIM's simple one. However, I'm not sure if you really need anything beyond the capability of AIM.

Another concern:

Both of us use dial-up connections. Will we be able to chat using the mikes, or do we need broadband to do it?

I was thinking of getting a web cam, but I think you definitely need broadband to be able to do video conference.

TIA

I've chatted on dialup - wasn't really that bad of quality.
