Yahoo! "RD" (redirect?) server problems

I've been having a somewhat perplexing Yahoo! redirect (I'm assuming) server problem for the past few weeks. Here is what happens:

I visit a Yahoo!-branded site, log in with my username/password. All the Yahoo! sites, like Launch Internet radio (now provided by Yahoo!), message boards, groups, etc. will load both before and after I log in. I have a problem whenever I click on a Yahoo! link that starts with "RD". I'm assuming that stands for "redirect" because it always has a * somewhere in the URL followed by the new, redirected URL. If I type in the URL after the *, it works fine. An example:

I go to launch.yahoo.com to listen to my radio 'station', I log in, and I get sent back to launch.yahoo.com no problems. Then I click on "Listen to My Station" and it sends me to this URL, which doesn't work:

http://rd.yahoo.com/launch/hp/lc/my

station/*http://launch.yahoo.com/lc/?rt=0

(I split the link because the message board was putting '...' in the middle and obscuring it). Then, if I change the URL in the address bar (delete everything up to and including the *), it works fine.

I am a long-time Netcom dial-up user, we were bought by Mindspring and then became a part of Earthlink. No "rd.yahoo.com" URLs work for me. I just get the "This page cannot be displayed" error in IE.

It seems like a DNS problem to me, but was wondering if anyone else had ideas. I don't have a problem with any other sites that I know of. Thanks.

This is a perplexing problem that I have also had. If I clear cookies and temp internet then the links work, usually.
