I need help with a DSL problem
I just installed a DSL modem on my computer. It works fine with AOL, but when I want to use internet explorer, I have to sign on to AOL first. This really sucks. With my cable modem I was online all the time and could go on IE with out signing on to AOL first.
I thought DSL was online all the time just like cable. Is there some way to be connected all the time? |

Hi Starwind8748,
I'm not that familiar with AOL, but my understanding is you have to log onto AOL to get connected so you can use IE. Most DSL are always on, but not all, like mine. Even if it is on, you are probably not hooked up with an ISP until you log on to AOL. TwoRails |

I take it you had roadrunner cable broadband the first time?
AOL does not have the same set-up with telcos. You either have to live with it, go back to cable, or dump AOL. |

Who is your DSL service through? If it's AOL Broadband, you have to sign on AOL first.
