IE keeps bugging me to install flash player...

Every time I go to a web page I get a popup asking me to install macromedia flash player. I've tried countless times to install it, but the popups just keep on coming. I even went to the macromedia web site and tried to download it, but it doesnt help.

This is a relatively new problem, which seems to coincide with my turning off a lot of windows services to free up memory. It may be that one of those services is necessary, but I dont know which one. If anyone has any idea, I'll be happy to hear from you.

What version of IE are you using? Are you on a dial-up connection?

EVERYTIME?? If its everytime for every web page that sounds like spyware...I would recommend clearing all cookies, and deleting history...and maybe getting ad aware, or spybot S&D

Start turning the services you disabled back on till you find the one that you need.

I've been running spybot and adaware for some time now with no luck.
I'll try turning the services back on. If only I hadnt turned so many off at once...
thanks for the quick response.
