Cable Internet Background Downloads
Hi,
I have Basic Cable Internet (1 GB download, 1 GB upload). I have Norton Internet Security installed. Whan I open it, I can see that 5 to 10 connections are opened and I see Kb being received continously. The problem is that I have no sotware opened that is connected to the Internet, so I don't even use the connection, but something is dowloading in the background. My modem PC LIGHT is blinking and my CABLE LIGHT is turned off. I would like to know if it is something I can do to stop this download because I'm limited at 1 GB and I'm always paying additional fees for excess dowload (for example, in 10 minutes, 4 Mb dowloaded...in a day that comes to something about 50-60 mb). Thank you. |

What OS are you using? Check for programs that may be automatically updating.
