Help...I can't send a link or web page by e-mail using "File, send". When I try, it accesses Exchange (it used to go to Outlook Express). I tried configuring Exchange to work but when I try to e-mail a page, I get an error message:
"The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator". I don't even have an administrator..hehehe. I tried changing the mail program in options, but there aren't any listed. I'm using IE 5.5. Can someone help me??? Thanks in advance. Cheryl |

Web Pages/Email
Hi Cheryl_2 - My limited knowledge does not tell me what "Exchange" means in your Post.
However, I went thru a 3-way thing about 5 days ago trying to help putting web pages onto Netscape. My OE would do it, but Netscape would wipe out everything except the major link titles. If I can lend a further hand come back. Your Administrator is wearing your socs. hehehe. |

Control Panel, Internet Options, Programs. Make sure Outlook Express is selected as your default e-mail program.

I tried that glc, but I have no options there... I can't select Outlook Express or anything else. When I click the down arrow, there's nothing to select. I'm thinking about uninstalling IE 5.5 & go back to 5.1. The mail problem may have started when I upgraded. I'm not sure.

Try add/remove and choose "repair". You could also download IE 5.5 SP1 through Windows Update.

I tried the "add/remove, repair" & that didn't work. Guess I'll try the patch next..if that doesn't work, go back to IE 5.1. Thanks for the help.

In meantime, why not right click the url address, click copy. Then, in email right click in body of message and click paste. That way, you don't have to send the whole shebang, just the link.

Well, I downloaded SP1 & now have the the option of using Hotmail to send the pages (oh well, better than nothing I guess...lol). I must've done something to the settings earlier, I'll have to play around to figure out what. Thanks again for all the help.
