Some websites make that little java icon appear in the bottom right corner with the other running programs. After hitting ctrl-alt-del, I can't seem to find the running process to end to close it. Is there a way to close it once it is running?

Closing all your web browsers will do it.
If you are closing all of your browsers and it still doesn't disappear, look for some other program running that uses a browser in a non-obvious way. |
