you can go to identities and create a new identity, from file and then identities, and after it is created, when you log on ,it asks you which one you would like to use

If you are indeed using Outlook and not express and it is the 2000 version or better, create another Inbox (inbox_other_account). Then use the rules wizard under tools to direct all mail going to that account to the new folder.

Outlook is not easer to use, it just has more features such as calendar, contacts, etc.

To create the new inbox folder, right click the “Outlook today” folder and select New Folder. Name it whatever you like.

The rules wizard is under the tools menu and it is very easy to follow along with. Click New then tick Start with a blank rule and it walks you right through it.

You cannot create new identities in Outlook, only Express.

Outlook is a much better program if you need all of it's features. If you just use it for email it's way overkill and Outlook Express would be a better choice.

Not sure about all versions, but you can have multiple 'identities' in Outlook 97 and Outlook 2000 at least.

They seem to be called 'Profiles' but it looks to me that it achieves pretty much the same kind of thing as identities in OE.

Can't see how to password protect the profiles directly, although the individual services (mail server, PST files etc) can be protected I think.

Anyone who knows differently is welcome to correct me!

David.
