DSL Monitoring

Is there any programs out there that monitor your dsl connection. Mine seems to be dropping quite often and I want to prove it to my provider. It only drops momentarily then picks it up again so pinging wont do the trick.
TIA

Yes there are and I can't remember the names of any of them.

Try DSL reports' site I'll bet there is mention of one there.

I went to www.bandwidth.com and checked my connection for nothing. At the site on the left side of the page you will see in bold type TOOLS. Under that go Speed Test. It checks your download speed, I don't know if that will help in solving some of your problems, but give it a shot.

I know one thing for sure, if you are a long way from the station where your lines for the phone are the slower the speed and evrything eles will be. I have mine in a prime spot only two blocks away. My connect speed is a constant 10 MBS. download speed is around 350.47 kbs. When I go from page to page it seems a fast as my inlaws Cable.

Also tell your ISP provider to be upfront with you as how far a way your station for your DSl is.
