AOL problem
Hi,
A friend of mine has AOL and every now and then (random times) that really annoying Connie will shout "Goodbye" through the speakers (the connection has been dropped) It's not an inactivity problem as sometimes this happens whilst she is using AOL. Any ideas? Anything special I should look for in connection settings, and where would I find them? Thanks,

Maybe there are incoming calls that's why your friend is being cut off. There is a setting in the AOL log on screen and let her try to Check mark the box that has the 70 something. The only draw back here is that no one can get through if they will be calling her number while she is in the Internet.

I would call AOL Tech support and see what they have to say. But you would probably get more of a technical answer from us than them. |

It might be a winmodem issue, especially if it's a low powered computer.

I call it AOHELL,
Call up AOL Tech. support and they will walk you through with changes/adjustments through AOL's software that will be compatible to your modem. |

Yes, thats probably the best thing to do. Thats one thing that aol does do real good, thats tech support (of coarse because they need it) it's a free call (I think) and for as much as your probably paying for a dial up connection to the internet you may as well use it.
