Graphics missing on web page

What causes some sites to have empty frames
with that small red X in the top left corner ?
Sometimes its one or two photos on the site , sometimes
its all. This great site on how to convert
Vinyl record albums to CD is an example. Pity.

Broken links; either the link was typed in wrong, or the picture got moved or deleted.

You might want to check out this link - it may not apply to you specifically but this seems to be a common problem.

Can be caused by a few things.

1. Gif or JPG image was not up-loaded to the web site (most common problem).
2. Image was deleted from web site.
3. The HTML path in reference to the image has changed.
4. The image name was renamed and image name was not renamed in the HTML code.
5. Folders named/mis-spelled differently. (For eg., GIF/JPG image is stored on your computer in a file folder called IMAGES, and you up-loaded your GIF/JPG image to your web site in a file folder called IMAGE.) And file folders are also case sensitive Image vs. image.
6. Make sure image was FTP as binary file not ASCII.
