What are some good spam blockers for an ISP email account? Something with good blockage, but with a very low mistaken blockage rate.

THe only one that works with any reliability is the delete feature on the mail program.

I use Mailwasher. I still have to scan the list it presents looking for not-so-well known spammers addys but it does a fine job regardless.
I really like it presents me the list of mails that are in the server and allow me to delete those I don't want before downloading them. Like those from "friends" who have nothing to do but send everyone 1MB mails with jokes and "cool" pics.

I use Earthlink for my ISP and their "Spaminator" works very well. I also use Pegasus Mail for my e-mail client, and it has a "selective mail download" function that downloads only the From and Subj headers and shows the file size. It then allows me to tag them for deletion off the server and/or download the whole message.
With these features, I haven't seen the need for Mailwasher or some other program like it - but I hear Mailwasher is one of the better ones. |

Check out www.digiportal.com
Looks like an excellent idea... I haven't tried it yet at home, but am waiting for them to finish development of a corporate version that I can test on my Exchange server here at work. |
