Exclamation Internet Explorer user.exe problem

Hi All,

I've just upgraded my PC to a P4 2.4ghz and having reinstalled all my software (I`m using Windows ME) I`m having a problem with Internet Explorer Version 6.0.2800.1106IS.

When I go onto certain sites, such as www.TeamTalk.com or www.eclipse-computers.com, I receive a message saying:

"Internet Explorer has caused an error in user.exe - please restart your PC if the problem continues."

I`ve restarted my PC and it`s still doing the same thing. Can anyone help?

Thanks alot,

Keith

Uninstall IE6 and revert back to 5.5 - see if that takes care of it.

As soon as you get the OS and Drivers installed go to Windows Update and get the Updates for everything.

Thanks, worked a treat. Out of interest what does that add to the Internet Explorer set-up?

Also have a short cut to it on my desktop.

It replaces the Microsoft VM with real Java support. You don't need shortcuts to it anywhere - it's now associated with IE.
