Trouble exporting Outlook Express Addresses
When I export my Outlook Express addresses (as comma separated values), only those addresses in the main folder of contacts get exported. All the addresses in subfolders are not exported. Does anyone know what is going on or how to get around this problem?

Thanks for the info Newme, however, I looked through it and I don't see how that will help me in my case. I'm not trying to export to another program. In my case I'm trying to:
1. Get a backup copy of ALL my addresses and store it on my "data" hard drive, D: 2. Restore an old image of my operating system and software installations on my main hard drive, C: 3. Copy the backup copy of my addresses back into Outlook Express. |

did you try to copy or move the addresses from the subfolders to the main identity's Contacts folder within the Windows Address Book.

Newme,
Yes, you are correct. I can move the subfolders into the main folder before exporting. However, I don't want to do that because I would lose my organization of my addresses. I keep my personal friends in the main folder and my professional networking contacts organized in various subfolders. I restore old images often enough that I do not want to have to reorganize all my addresses every time I do it. |

I did some more digging around and found the following solution
1) Copy the username.WAB file from C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book 2) After restoring the old image file, recopying the saved .WAB file back to the directory. This preserves all my data and keeps the organization intact. |
