Let's say I want to 'publish' a spreadsheet on my LAN. How do I get started. I've win98SE which has these:
Personal Web Server Front Page Express Web Publishing Wizard So do I use them or there's other better alternatives, that I can manage ? Heard GLC menctioning 'Macromedia' -hope I remember correctly ? Is it the better choice ? Yes I know, I'm behind in this area

I've heard Dreamweaver is good. Hard to start working with it initially, but people say it's worth it.

On your LAN?
Just share the file thru File and Print Sharing, no reason to use a standalone server when none is required. If you want to offer it to people outside your network, then you have a need for a server. If it's just individual "office" type files that you need to have accessible to the outside world, an FTP server would be more secure and more suited for this application, imo. |

Yes it's on a LAN on a NT 4.O Domain.
Thinking something like an Web Server, using my Win98SE as a Server, then I just publish the 'info' . Then I just need to give my colleagues the address , like \\mypc\XXXX.htm, so they can access the info. |

File and Print Sharing is the only server you need then. Put it on a network folder and only give access to the people who you want to have access to it thru the folder permissions.

ur......Yes, File & sharing is the way. But I'm thinking something like a 'Web Page' , that people in the LAN can browse with their browser, like MS explorer. Something they can add some data, without the need to use Windows explorer.
