Unhappy Dreamweaver 4 Problem

When I close a web page in Dreamweaver 4 I normally get a pop up saying "Do you want to quit Dreamweaver ?" I like having this option but I accidently clicked on the "Don't Ask me again" option. Now I don't get the pop up and I want it back.

I have searched the macromedia forums, the dreamweaver manuals the cd documentation but cannot find how to return this option. I would have thought it would be in the preferences tab within Dreamweaver but I cannot find it there either

Has anyone else had this problem and found the answer? or does anyone know Dreamweaver well enough to know what I can do?

Thanks for you time.

That would be your own fault.

The only way to get that pop up back would be to unistall the program completely and then install it once again.

n1cholas: Please read the forum FAQ. This is a forum where we bend over backwards to make people feel welcome, it's not like all the flamefests which other forums sadly have become - and we insist on treating others with respect. Thank you.

I realise that this is problem was my fault. Not being able to find the solution to the problem I did indeed try uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. Knowing that a lot of programs do not completely uninstall, but leave behind configuration settings and such other settings I removed the orignal folder the program was installed in and when I reinstalled the program did so in a completely different place.

The pop-up still has not returned and somehow (maybe from information in the registry?) Dreamweaver has maintained all my other settings.

Thinking about my problem I guess I can say I am one of the few people who want to encourage a pop-up rather than kill it

As part of my commitment to this board I will continue to try and find a solution to this situation and post it here if I find it before someone else does.

I have manged to solve this problem myself. The setting to restore this feature is held in the registry and using regedit I changed the key vaule of
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 4\Optional Dialog Windows\Quit Dreamweaver"
from "TRUE" to "FALSE"

I would advise anyone who uses REGEDIT to take extreme caution as altering the key values cancause sever problems with your system.

I would have thought the setting could be changed within Dreamweaver 4 itself in the preferences settings, but this is not the case. Hopefully this situation has been resolved in the latest version of Dreamweaver.
