When I close a web page in Dreamweaver 4 I normally get a pop up saying "Do you want to quit Dreamweaver ?" I like having this option but I accidently clicked on the "Don't Ask me again" option. Now I don't get the pop up and I want it back.
I have searched the macromedia forums, the dreamweaver manuals the cd documentation but cannot find how to return this option. I would have thought it would be in the preferences tab within Dreamweaver but I cannot find it there either ![]() Has anyone else had this problem and found the answer? or does anyone know Dreamweaver well enough to know what I can do? Thanks for you time. |

That would be your own fault.
The only way to get that pop up back would be to unistall the program completely and then install it once again. |

I realise that this is problem was my fault. Not being able to find the solution to the problem I did indeed try uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. Knowing that a lot of programs do not completely uninstall, but leave behind configuration settings and such other settings I removed the orignal folder the program was installed in and when I reinstalled the program did so in a completely different place.
The pop-up still has not returned and somehow (maybe from information in the registry?) Dreamweaver has maintained all my other settings. Thinking about my problem I guess I can say I am one of the few people who want to encourage a pop-up rather than kill it ![]() As part of my commitment to this board I will continue to try and find a solution to this situation and post it here if I find it before someone else does. |

I have manged to solve this problem myself. The setting to restore this feature is held in the registry and using regedit I changed the key vaule of
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 4\Optional Dialog Windows\Quit Dreamweaver" from "TRUE" to "FALSE" I would advise anyone who uses REGEDIT to take extreme caution as altering the key values cancause sever problems with your system. I would have thought the setting could be changed within Dreamweaver 4 itself in the preferences settings, but this is not the case. Hopefully this situation has been resolved in the latest version of Dreamweaver. |
