IE6 In Xp keeps closing
I posted this hear hope it its wright. When I'm surfing the net I now get an error message saying
'Internet Explorer has incountered a problem and needs to shut down". Is their a known fix for this? This has happened twice, and I know uninstall and reinstall doesn't do a thing, have gone down that road before.

Do this: Change the boot sequence in BIOS to boot from CD first.
Put in the XP CD, restart. Then start as if a new install by pressing Enter see to it that the Drive letter is where your XP resides. DO NOT choose to use the "repair console", hit F8 to agree to the TOS, and then you'll be prompted to repair a current installation, here's where you hit "R". Along the process, it will ask for the Product Key though. This will take arround 40 minutes to repair. HTH. |
