I'm building a web page and I went a bit a head of my self when I decided to make an image map with on mouse over functions. I thought that it wouldn't be that tough, but I'm an idiot.

the image map looks something like this:

=================================
|...........................(1).........................|
|........................................................|
|===============================|
|....(2)........|.......................................|
|=========|.......................................|
|....(3)........|.......................................|
|=========|...............(7)....................|
|....(4)........|.......................................|
|=========|.......................................|
|....(5)........|.......................................|
|=========|.......................................|
|....(6)........|.......................................|
=================================

I need it to work like this, when left alone it's one big blury .gif image map.

When the mouse goes over (2)(3)(4)(5)(6) each becomes a new clearer image when ever he mouse hovers it. I got that part solved. That was the easy part.

However; I also need it so that whenever I go over (7) all the images change together to a third image (thats # (1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7))

Any idea on hot to do this or if any knows where to find such a script, it would be greatly appreaciated

Flash!

IMHO doing what u want would be simplest in macromedea flash (http://www.download.com search 'macromedia flash' for 30 days trial).

Although flash can take a while to learn, once mastered nothing compares to its simplicity and power.

In terms of javascipts and applets I have not come accross any thing this complese. However good starting points to look for a script are:
