Question AIM Files

I've getting some valuable information during certain AIM sessions and unless I write it all down, its basically lost.
I notice that there are AIM temp internet files and they look like I could possibly open them and print the info.
Is this possible or can I print the existing open AIM session?
TIA
Carl

Can you just copy and paste the text into notepad or Word and print it that way? There is a Print option in the File menu when you're in an IM window, but it is always grayed out for some reason.

you can save your conversations to a file....

just goto file -> save
and it'll save everything u guys have typed during your convo.

then just open the file later for easy viewing.

There are also third party programs like Deadaim that will keep logs of aim settings automatically. It has a lot of other neat features too. It installs as an add on for aim.

Kubie there is one option I can think of, that AIM doesn't offer. If you use Trillian which is another chat program that you can use to chat on AIMS, Yahoo, ICQ, etc... all at the sametime. I don't use it anymore because I kept getting disconnected but with that problem aside it did have one option I liked very much; the application kept a log of all your conversations on all the chat programs while using Trillian. So when I wanted to go back to a phone number or a tech tip someone gave in a chat we have, I just needed to check the log.

Hope this helps.

Iman74,
Since I only use AIM, Trillion may be overkill for me. I did find that each AIM session is also kept as a Temporary Internet File. When I go to Win Explorer and start searching for a particular file, Win Explorer gives me a error message and shuts down.
Now that I know I can print from the File on AIM, I'll use that.
Thanks for your input.
Carl
