Starting a website
Hi everybody! This is my first post here at PC Mechanic. I've lerned a lot of things from this site.
 Here's my problem: I would like to start a computer website that has information on computers, games and adobe photoshop. I also am planning on having gaming tournaments and photoshop contests. I have one problem before I start designing it: I don't know what to call it! How do you go about making up a title/logo? I appreciate your suggestions.

Hey Hoppy - Welcome to PCMECH
Unique, easy to remember, something that you feel represents your site well...Try going to a translator website like altavista.com and type in an english word that fits yours ite, and see how it is in german, japanese, spanish... Cool, and easy to remember...Thats what ou got to keep in mind.

hoppychoppy.com? hoppystuff.com? maybe start designing it and make the logo and the domain name/company name at last |

Thanks for the replies!
BearEater, Lol, no, I didn't want a logo that has my nic in it.  avx487, "cool & easy to remember"... that's half of my problem. I was kind of looking for a word or two that basically summed up the contents of my site (computers, gaming & digital 2D/3D art). I greatly appreciate any more suggestions. This problem is driving me batty.

prettycolors.com(porbably taken) artprotocal.com A LOT of names are already take, I can guarantee that... The idea about a few wors to sum up your site...cancel that idea too...think about how many game, art, info sites there are...trust me, almost all good names are taken...your gonna have to come up with something totally unique... for example: www.toeng.com(great grphics) www.google.com(its a search engine, but google...easy to remember) www.digitalblasphamy.com Your gonna have to break out the dictionary...just find random, easy to remember words.. |
