Pissed IE 6 terminating misteriously

I have been experiencing this weird and vexing behaviour: sometimes when I click on a link IE closes. If I have more IE windows opened they close too. No error messages or anything.

I have all the updates and the SP1a installed but this started to happen before applying those.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

TIA for the input.

Just the firewall.

In the foreground, WinMX.

Hmm... does it still happen when you're not running WinMX?

I'm gonna check.

It happens at random. It can be all day working fine or it can happen withing a minute of starting IE.

I'd use Mozilla and forget about it, but Mozilla still has some features I don't like. Plus several sites force you to use IE.
