I have started have this problem recently, need help as to how to fix.
When I log on to any java page I geceive error messages, the most frequesnt is: "this page cannnot be displayed" At the botton this message: "cannot find server ore DNS error"
When I click on the error at the bottom left, the following error message appears.
The callee (server (not server application) is not available and disapperied!. All connections are invalid. Code 0"
This is most prevelant when I try and view a audio/vidoe page.
I am using IE6 with SP1.
I have tried to unstall but get message when trying to install that a newer version already exist.
I have run out of options to try.
Thanks for any help you can give, I really don't wnat to format.

Try downloading and installing the Sun Java Runtime Environment.

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/download.html

Also, in your advanced Internet Options, check "disable script debugging" and UNcheck "display a notification about every script error".

That is a javascript error not java. What browser are you running?

Java and javascript are not the same thing.

The poster stated that he/she is using IE6 SP1. I posted both suggestions to cover both Java and Javascript problems.

Thanks for your quick responce.
I have already run the "Sun Java Run Time Enviroment".
I unchecked the "disable script debugging".
The "display a notification about every script error" was already unchecked.
Still the same error, In fact, any Java pages is giving errors, even though some will display I get an "error on page" in the display line at bottom of screen with the triangle error icon.
Any more suggestions????
Wes

You need to CHECK "disable script debugging". Sorry if I wasn't clear.

It was checked.
I have tried it both ways.
I noticed in MS bulletin #293907 it say to rename "Iemigrat.dll" and then reinstall Windows will restore the version of IE that was included with that version of Windows that was origionally installed.
Will this work without loosing files such as email addresses and DBX files?
This is the only thing I havn't tried that I know of.
This has been a hard one to deal with.
Could it possible be a virus?
Thanks again,

You don't have to reinstall Windows to revert to the previous version of IE if IE shows up in the add/remove programs list. Just add/remove it and choose restore previous version - but you can try a repair first, that's also an option there.

This will not work, as when I try to use the add/remove it will attempt to unstall.
Then when I try to install IE6 again, I receive a message that a newer version exist and will stop.
I believe that is because I installed the sp1 for IE6 and it has some ot that files still in the system even after unstalling both IE6 and the SP1.
I haven't found any way to unstall Internet explorer from the system unless going into the regedit and trying to unstall as many files as I can find.
In Internet Explorer i see files for IE4,5,6.
Unless someone can come up with something I see the only way is to fdisk and format to get back to the Internet Explorer that was installed origionally.
Any more suggestions?
