Gosh,I was just bored..went over to google and typed some non-sense words..I looked at the status bar,it was 2..hum..i remembered Google guys always say they make their searches return in 1 second (1/2 second,actually).
I type different searches quickly. No searches ever took more than 1 second. there were a couple of times when it took 0 seconds!! man,i thought they were just overrating themselves. its true!! my connection is cable.tested with opera 7.1 on win98. try yourself,see if its true.

Search speed has nothing to do with your system/browser, Google searches its own database when you submit your query, and then returns the result.
So search speed is the time taken by Google servers, not by your computer. |

i just give you detail about my browser just in case ie doesnt do the same thing. same thing with my os..just in case other os's dont do that......................................... :| |
