http web server?

What program do you think is best for a http web server? Btw. I notice ftp server required u to open up port 21 on the linksys router, what port do i need to open for http server? Is there a website on that? like linksysftp.org? not about ftp but http? thanks

The most used HTTP server is Apache, it's free and open source, available for several platforms.
www.apache.org
Default port for HTTP is 80, however, it's up to you to specify another one, in this case the user has to type urlort in the address bar to access your website.

I personally use xampplite. Its apache, php, mysql, filezilla, and perl all in one. Works awesome for me and you should check it out. That should do the trick for you.
