How Do You Get Rid Of Garbage Web Site Installed On Browser and Desktop
Anyone know how to get rid of a bunch of garbage that was forcefully installed by a Web site to my browser and desktop. I think they installed extra tabs on my browser to the right of the search address box -- news, mp3 music, gambling, entertainment, books, computer. And then right above my taskbar at the bottom of the desktop I have two rows of garbage installed -- Make Money, Sex, Casino Travel, Careers, Investing, Morgage Credit, Insurance.

Thanks,
Spybot did a pretty good job. About the only thing it didn't catch was something that I did not install that I know of in Windows Add/Remove called Ultimate.Browser E nhancer. I'm uninstalling it now and hope that it will get rid of those tabs that are still in my browser that I'm sure weren't there before. Of course, I could be uninstalling something really important and then screw my whole system but I don't think so. By the way, you've got a hell of a top of the line machine there. I hope you find some good use for such raw power. In the old days people used to match up their cars and motorcycles for power. Now they match up their computers. I bet you have DSL too. If you do, make sure to add that to your computer bio and include your connection and download speed. |

Spybot seemed to catch every thing except the one that put those tabs to the right of my address box and that was after I downloaded the Spybot updates. I found out what it was when I right clicked on the tabs. It was something like dflng----- . Anyway I went to regedit and looked for every dflng and then boldy took a chance and deleted it. That did the trick. I guess that's one way of doing it.
