online matrix address
have any of you seen those auctions on eBay for a link to a "matrix" to get computer stuff for pennies on the dollar? now, by "matrix" i don't mean the coolest movie ever made... but a list for people to send in money and eventually get it (example, an Alienware Laptop for $170, just wait a few weeks to get it). I'm assuming that this is a website, not a program or something like that. does anybody have it? if you tell me/us/the world it will actually help you; the more people send in money, the faster the products arrive at your front door (if i understand this correctly) so, help yourself out, or forward this to the high-bidder on an eBay auction and then post it here if they reply. thank you SO MUCH and god bless

Just like glc said, it smacks of amsway and snakeoil. I hate to sound like a naysayer, but like the old adage "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true"
Not saying that there aren't some good deals out there, just have to be careful that your getting what is advertised. Remember the free gift scam, one went kind of like this. "You have just won a free power boat and is being held in your name at our prize collection warehouse, please call with your wining sweepstakes number along with your credit card number for address verification and a nominal shipping fee." The motor boat was real, the shipping fee was a bit more than nominal it was $370, oh and the motor boat, it was a 6 foot rubber raft with a small electric trolling motor, bought anywhere else for less than $100. Note: If I had a sure fire place to buy computers and parts for pennies on the dollar I sure the heck wouldn't be telling anybody but my banker. It's like Miss Cleo telling you the lottery numbers at $4.95 a minute, do you think that if there was even the slightest chance they were right she give them to you. |

These type of scheme's are being CLOSELY scrutinized because they boarderline in being illegal and I do mean boarderline. You send in your money as in your example $170 for an Alienware laptop, what you get is a useless e-book that they won't even tell you the topic of. This is the only thing that keeps them out of reach of the law. IF you are still interested here's a few links I've gathered.
http://www.ezexpo.com http://www.ezdeal4u.com http://www.extremematrix.net http://www.e-maytrixonline.com http://www.viginc.com Click on the LINK button on any of these and it will lead you to half a dozen others. Good luck and let me know if you decide to go with one. |

At least Amway is legitimate product sold at a reasonable price for what it is.

--- edit --- Just did a little more looking, this is how it appears to work. Lets say you want the Xbox so you buy an e-book for $25, in return you get to download a document file of some sorts? then after 15 more people buy the same e-book you get an Xbox, for them it's a deal $25 x 15 people = $425 gross - $200 cost for the Xbox = $225 net + $25 you paid for e-book = $250 profit for one Xbox, what a deal. In theory you'd get an Xbox for $25 and that's a deal too, they don't say anything about shipping costs if you actually do get the item. The only problem would be if nobody else bought an e-book, then you end up with a very pricy little file. I'd also have to know that a regular person got the "gift" and not some fake people setup to look like the scheme is working. It's like the classic street con where 3 or 4 people are mingled in the crowd and secretly part of the scam win big money from some poor street hustler, thereby making it look easy to the unsuspecting people who then lose their money. Or it may work legitimately, in which case I'm going to start my own matrix, who's in? Last edited by electrotech; 05-06-2003 at 08:58 PM. |

no, no, no. you misunderstood me, when i said "? if you tell me/us/the world it will actually help you; the more people send in money, the faster the products arrive at your front door" i meant that the more people that send money to this thing, the faster the quota fills up, and the faster what you bought gets to your house
