Question

We have been having problems at work with Outlook and Outlook Express when trying to send mail. The message will start to be sent, then will just hang and time out. This happens mainly when sending an attachment, fowarding, or replying. If you are sending a basic text message it is usually not a problem. All the computers share a dial-up conection through a Webramp, which is always connected to the internet. We are all running IE5.5.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike Minnick

Could be related to your ISP, limiting the attachment size. You can also try increasing the server timeout in OE under tool>account>mail tab>propertis of account>advanced tab. Then increase the bar for server timeouts.

Wink

I had a problem with my ISP few months back. I could receive mail fine in Outlook, but could not send any. My ISP fixed the problem without telling me what they did.

Sounds like an ISP problem. If you've sent e-mail before, then it's them. Nothing you can do until they fix it! Maybe their SMTP is overloaded, etc....
