Internet Explorer problem

Hi,
My problem is whenever I open link in a new window.. the page doesnt load. I have used Modem Booster and Pc Booster recently but restored to original settings. I have IE 6.0, and windows 98. I tried using 2 isps to see if it was the isp's problem, but nope, I still couldn't see pop-ups.. any thing that opened up in a new window. Any one know how to fix it?

First thing you do is uninstall all of that booster software. Then you run a spyware cleaner, then you do a repair on IE - you do this with add/remove programs, repair will be one of the options. Then you check Internet Options - Connections - LAN settings, and remove all checkmarks and proxy servers.

Other than reinstall Windows 98, I don't have any suggestions other than possibly restoring the previous version of IE or removing all networking components and reinstalling them - maybe someone else has some ideas.

It's been my experience that so-called "booster" software causes more problems than they allegedly fix.

Download this file and run it.

It is a Microsoft patch to fix the problem that you describe (Incompatible RPC Stub)
