Pop Up Log in box in PCMECH!!! Annoying me!

When I change to a different page in PCMECH.com it comes up with a login style box the title of the login box says -

Connect to ads1.ad-flow.com

Then it displays a picture on some keys silver and gold

says connecting to ads1.ad-flow.com

Then asks for Username : with a box to input

Password : with a box to input

little box to tick for remember password

What the hell is this!!! I'm fed up of pressing cancel!!

You've got some ad blocking software, and it's trying to block ad-flow (the banner at the top of the site), and asking for permission.
Just block ad-flow completely from showing, or turn that bit off.

I have zonealarm pro and ad blocking is disabled and is currently allowing all ads? I downloaded kazaa earlier today? It didn't come up with the box prior to this. But how do I get rid of it?

cheers

Download Spybot and run it. Whether that helps or not, atleast you will be rid of spyware.

Kazaa has put ad-flow in the hosts file.
You'll be much better getting rid of kazaa, and get kazaalite.

Not really. When you installed kazaalite, did you go for all the default options?
If so, check the hosts file, there's a ton of stuff in there that you may want to take out, or simply delete the hosts file.

It is in Windows Directory/system32/drivers/etc

Windows Directory is usually called Windows or WinNT.

You can safely delete it, and it should be recreated automatically.
If you have any troubles, just create a new one, simply called "hosts" with no extention, and in it put one line: localhost=127.0.0.1
