I.E. 6 - Won't Download Anything
Haven't used this pc in months. Tried downloading Spy Bot and Ad Aware and when selecting download, it says "page not displayed", and IE says it can't connect to site. I know it's not the sites being down, as IE does ok on other 3 pcs. I switch over to Mozilla and the stuff downloads fine.
Ideas?

Thanks, but I compared them to the others - all the same.

Internet Options - Connections - LAN settings - is everything unchecked and no proxies listed? Is your hosts file clean?

I finally got the Ad Aware and Spy Bot by using Mozilla. Bot found 4 entries and Ad Aware found 54. Go figure. Anyway, I cleaned up using them and IE started downloading again. One of those entries was evidently blocking the process. Would surf ok but not download anything.
