I recently took an image of my drive and reformated my computer
problem is I forgot to export my OE address book as a file so I could import it again after I reinstall. Does anyone know where the actual files are located that keep all your addresses?? Id really hate to think that there is no way i can get them back with out exporting them. Thanks a lot!! jason |

Well, depending on which OS you're using it may be different but I'm using Win95 still and mine are in C:\windows\application data\microsoft\address book. There should be a file in there that ends in .WAB. The addresses don't have the names that they go to beside them cuz there's all those funny little coded smiley faces and stuff to connect 'em together, but if you know who's addy went to which name when you see 'em, they're in there. Kinda towards the bottom behind a bunch of lines starting with SMTP (I think that's what it was anyway). Like I said though, this is in Win95 so if you're using a new OS (which you likely are) they may be somewhere else. Maybe this will send ya in the right direction though.
